An exercise in futility: Timeline and Relevant Noodle Incidents
As an exercise in futility, I've been trying to figure out a tentative timeline for some things between Road of the Patriarch and Gauntlgrym. (I like timelines. The fact that the canon details are infuriatingly inconsistent only spurs me on.)
So much theoretical behind the cut. YMMV
1364: The Silent Blade
1366: Servant of the Shard
1368: Road of the Patriarch. Entreri and Jarlaxle split up. Entreri goes to Calimport and hangs out with Dwahvel. Jarlaxle hangs out with Athrogate and probably mopes a lot.
[This is where the party gets theoretical.]
1369-70: Noodle Incident in Memnon.
1372: The Shadovar return to the Material Plane.
1373: The Netherese recruit Jarlaxle to catch Entreri.
1374: Jarlaxle betrays Entreri to the Netherese in Baldur's Gate. WOE. ANGST AND WOE.
1390-ish: Alegni rapes Dahlia. Effron is born. [I don't care if RAS says this happened 20 years prior to Gauntlgrym. RAS is wrong. Dahlia is an elf, and Effron is a half-elf, half-tiefling. 70 years prior to canon makes more sense and makes all Dahlia-related shipping considerably less gross.]
1411: Noodle Incident in Luskan.
1416: Jarlaxle finds out that Kimmuriel fucked with his memories.
1451: Volcano eruption. Neverwinter is destroyed. DEVASTATION!!!
1463: Charon's Claw is destroyed.
1484: Drizzt, Entreri, and co. wake up after 18 years asleep.
Memnon Noodle Incident: All we're told in canon is that Bregan D'earthe tried to re-recruit Entreri via "parading his lover before him" and that it resulted in three dead dark elves. (I have my theories about this incident, but I'll leave them unsaid for this timeline.)
Luskan Noodle Incident: We know that Entreri was in Luskan at some point around this time period and that he seems to have fucked over Jarlaxle in some way in the process. Which is interesting, because Jarlaxle couldn't have known about this, or he would have known that Entreri wasn't aging and therefore wouldn't have assumed that Entreri was dead in 1463. (I've got a theory on this one too.)
